We can refinish all of cabinets in your home or commercial property. Kitchen Cabinets, laundry and Bathroom Vanities can look new again!
Cabinets are some of the hardest working fixtures in any home and are often the first to show their age. Even if the finish on your cabinets isn’t in bad shape, often times the shade of stain, the color and the style of handles can date them and make the entire room look it’s paying homage to a long-gone era.
In the latter half of the 20th century, medium and golden oak cabinets were the standard whereas in recent years there’s been a shift to opaque colors (whites and soft greys) as well as deeper colored stains such as espresso or even black. It’s also popular now to have a mix of colors and stains such as dark lower cabinets and lighter uppers or opaque cabinets and a stained island. All of these transformations can be made without replacing your existing cabinets assuming they’re in sound structural condition which is so often the case.
Here’s an example of a kitchen makeover we did:
The customer decided they wanted to replace their Corian countertops with the newest trend in kitchen designs which is Quartz. We came in and removed the old tops for them and installed a new layer of 5/8” plywood that would be required as a base for the new quartz top. This way, we could refinish the cabinets while the new quartz tops were being fabricated thereby reducing the risk of damage to the newly finished cabinets when the quartz was being installed.
We installed a crown molding along the tops of the upper cabinets, refinished the existing golden oak to a dark espresso finish, added new stainless-steel handles, replaced the drawer slides with new, soft-close slides and added soft-close add-ons to all the cabinet doors.
When we were done, the kitchen looked as though it had gone through a complete “Rip and Replace” when, in fact, it had just been refinished at a fraction of the cost and time. And it had all the “bells and whistles” of a brand-new and up-to-date kitchen.
